Marietta Flood, Librarian
I am a native Texan; born in Austin and a Hereford girl since 1998. I graduated from Georgetown High School and The University of Texas at Austin. I am a certified teacher in secondary Social Studies and Library Science. I was a teacher of junior high and high school students for twelve years before I became a school librarian, and this year I begin my 30th year in education. As a librarian, I have worked with students as young as K-3. I know that reading is key for students of all ages to be successful, and I understand that reading skills begin in infancy and continue through adulthood. There is nothing more humbling than helping a young learner read, and nothing more satisfying than helping readers of all levels find excitement in reading.
